Makeup Monday

Sorry for no post on Friday--I was off getting licensed to teach Zumba!
Today I thought I would share what I use for my everyday look. To be honest, on a regular work day I only wear light eye makeup, but when I want to look a little nicer, or on the weekends I go for the whole shebang. These are my go-to beauty products.

FACE
1. Foundation: Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Sheer Tint 8-in-1 Skin Perfector in light/medium
2. Powder: Almay Wake up hydrating mineral makeup
3. Bronzer: NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder
4. Blush: Hard Candy Baked Blush in Living Doll

I've never been big into foundation products. I have been blessed with fairly nice skin so I just don't need to wear it all the time. I like Maybelline's BB cream because it is really light and it does more than just cover up. I am very disappointed because I think Almay discontinued their hydrating powder :( I loved it because it was light weight and refreshing. It goes on wet and dries instantly. I'm trying to find another product similar. I just picked up a loose powder by Physician's Formula, but I haven't tried it yet because I'm trying to stretch my Almay as far as I can!

EYES
7. Eyeliner: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in Black
8. Eyeliner: L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Liquid Eyeliner
9. Mascara: Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies in Waterproof
10: Mascara: CoverGirl Lashblast Volume Mascara

Looking at this written out it seems like a lot, but it really doesn't take that long to do! For everyday I usually use the lightest colored eyeshadow. I like to use bronzy neutral colors because they compliment blue eyes. For the eyeliner, I start with the pencil for a good thick line, then I go over it with the liquid pen because it is easiest to control in the inner eyes, and then I finish with the L'Oreal liquid liner to define the cat-eye look. For mascara on a regular day I only use the CoverGirl mascara but when I want bigger lashes I use the Waterproof falsies first and then go over it with the Covergirl. I tried the regular Falsies mascara but it just doesn't work as well as the waterproof.

LIPS
11. Chapstick: Eos Pomegranate Raspberry Lip Balm
12. Lipstick: Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain in Charm

I'm low maintenance on lips. One of my new year's resolutions for this year was to wear lipstick more often, though, and I have to say I have been following up on it! I love the Revlon balm stains, they are easy to apply and the color lasts a long time. The color I use most is the one in the picture. It goes on a light peachy nude color and then after it settles it turns to a nice coral.

I don't have a ton of patience when it comes to doing hair and makeup everyday, so my makeup routine doesn't take me much longer than 5 minutes. My hair depends on how willing it is to cooperate on any given day ;)

Hope you have a happy Monday!
