The Closet Hippo

Hippo's may look cute and friendly, but they are actually quite vicious creatures. There is more to them than meets the eye. If you've ever felt like a hippo, misjudged or underestimated, you have something in common with the God of our universe. And yet, He doesn't write you off. He knows all about you and He is waiting for you to step up and be unashamed of who he created you to be, regardless of what others may think of you. Like a hippo, let's attack our perceptions of self and others.

Las Vegas Vacation: SLS Pool

Our last day in Vegas, we decided it was time to hit up the pool.

Strawberry Daquari in hand, I finally got some sun!

We had such a nice relaxing time at the pool until...

We were really dumb and didn't wear sunscreen and got so burned that we just went back to our hotel and took a nap, and didn't go out anywhere for our last night because we were in so much pain!

This picture was taken as we were getting ready to leave for the airport the next morning.

You can't really see my sun burn, but I'm still peeling! So stupid.

The plane ride home wasn't the best...had to fly to Phoenix before flying back to Portland...2 and half hours in the middle seat between 2 strangers. Not fun.

And this was the weather difference.

At least we've had some sun here in Oregon the last few days!

I miss you Las Vegas!
