Fashion Friday

My goodness, we have had some beautiful weather this week!
We had Monday off from school for President's Day so I took advantage of the free time and bit the bullet and got a walk in appointment at the salon down the street from me. I couldn't handle the mullet anymore! I don't know if I will ever grow my hair long again because I HATE the transition stage. I didn't color it because I wanted to go to my dear friend who usually does my hair for color. It feels so good to have short hair again!
What I wore: Sweater: Target // Leggings: Forever21 // Boots: Nine West (old)
 Happy Friday!

Seahawks Selfies

OK, today's post is kind of heavy on selfies. Sorry. My Dad got me a Seahawks shirt!! I wore is yesterday since they played, unfortunately they lost...to the freakin' Cowboys :( It's OK I'm still a fan!
I
I haven't really payed any attention to NFL for most of my life. I rooted for the Beavers and that was about it. Oregon doesn't have a professional football team, but if you asked me who I rooted for in the NFL I would say the Seahawks, since they reside with our neighbors in the North West. Then I met my husband who was an avid Bears fan. So I switched to the Bears for a while. But then a guy from my hometown who went to my high school started playing for the Seahawks, so I switched back, and then they went to the Superbowl and he got to play! It was really exciting for my hometown. Anyway, he left the Seahawks to play for the Browns, but I decided to stick with the Seahawks. I still root for the Bears, and now the Browns too, but none of them have a quarterback as attractive as Russel Wilson! ;) I have an aunt & uncle & cousins who all live up in the Seattle area as well, so it is fun to root for the same team as them.

My new favorite eyeshadow is by Wet & Wild. It's a trio of colors called "walking on eggshells". It's a great neutral palette and the color stays on all day. I haven't had any problems with creasing or fading. It has one color for the lid, one for the crease, and one for the brow. It comes with a a small brush which I use for the crease of my eye. A makeup expert probably wouldn't use the brush it comes with but I think it works just fine for my everyday look. I was trying to show off my hair in these pictures because I styled it differently than usual. Lately I've been wearing pigtails everyday, because my hair has grown out to a mullet, but I haven't had time to get it done! So I put it in pigtails, poofed the back & curled. It was fun to wear it a little different because I usually only have time to wear it straight.
The Seahawks are Going to the Superbowl!!!
I made these outfits on Polyvore right after it was determined that the Seahawks were going to the superbowl. Wouldn't it be fun to wear these?

 Happy Monday all!

Fashion Opinions Needed

I finally got paid this week and I have decided I would like to buy a new pair of shoes with my first real teaching money. I've decided on leopard, but now I can't decide which pair to get! So I thought I'd throw them all of up here and see if anyone reading has an opinion?

I'm in the same boat for my hair right now. I need to get it done because it's grown out too much so it's at the mullet stage and I'v been wearing it in pig tails all week. Should I grow it out a little like the picture on the left? Or should I cut it again and get it to look more like the picture on the right?
Thoughts?

I'm leaving you with a TGIF! Yesterday was a really rough day. I hope today goes by fast!
Happy Friday!

Fashion Friday

Last weekend My husband and I went to a family gathering for his Dad's side. We were planning on meeting a friend at a restaurant with a rooftop bar afterward, but we were having such a nice time visiting that we ended up staying at the gathering pretty late. So I guess I was just a little overdressed for the event.

My husband was making fun of me for taking selfies in the car. To be honest, I feel a little silly & vain posting them, but I thought I looked pretty, and I wanted to show off my headband!
What I Wore: Dress: Target (similar) // Sandals: Target // Headband: Maurices
And here's the one picture I got with my husband as the photographer. At the end of the night after we got home in our ugly parking lot. Oh well. The dress & the sandals are both from Target and I couldn't find them online but I found similar items. You can probably find them in stores still because I got them only a few weeks ago. The dress was only $20 and the shoes are actually a size 2 from the little girls section. If you like them and have smaller feet, they probably go up to about a size 6 (size 4 in girls is often the same as 6 in women's). For once having child's size feet worked in my favor.
Well, here's to hoping I have a real reason to dress up again at some point during the short summer I have left!
Have a great weekend!

Fashion Friday

Strawberry Tee: Old Navy // shorts: Target (similar)  //
If you read this previous post, then you understand my slight obsessions with strawberries. So when I saw this tee in the little girls section at Old Navy I had to get it! You can't tell in the pictures but the strawberry actually has glitter on it--woah! Strawberries AND glitter?! Love!

Ha, my mom was my photographer and she said my hair looked better not pulled back--good call mom!

You can kind of see the glitter in this picture. This picture shows the color a little better. The pink is really bright! It's a lot of fun and I definitely feel more "summery" when I wear it.

I also got a much needed hair update yesterday! I decided to go back to a more natural blonde and I went a little shorter again. Thank you to my beautiful friend KaryAnn (also in my previous strawberry post!) :)

I love it! The color turned out gorgeous!
Well I'm off to the beach with my hubby in a bit,
Have a great weekend!
