Wedding Season is Upon Us + Fashion Friday!!

The wedding season of life has slowed down a bit for me, and it seems as though baby season is one right after another right now! I do have quite a few weddings coming up, though, and I am glad. I love weddings!
Over Memorial Day Weekend we attend one of my dear childhood friend's weddings. We danced together from the age of 6 all the way through high school. We are both fortunate to have continued on with dance into college and beyond as well! I spent many a nights at her home and summer days in her backyard, and her family is dear to me. She was a beautiful bride and I so enjoyed getting to see her walk down the isle to marry her sweet groom.
The colors were tiffany blue and black. I loved all of the personal touches as details. The little tiffany box bow cupcakes were sooo delicious!
 My handsome wedding date :)
This wedding was such a dance reunions!
The REAL dance moms: They are sweet, supportive and giving; our critics and our biggest fans. We have so may happy memories together!
The bride's dad with my little brother. Such a happy day!
My family did the photo booth together, and my Dad magically grew a rainbow mohawk!
We're crazy!
The evening began winding down it was time to go, but "why were we not walking to the car yet?" my husband wondered...
Because being the dancers (and dance moms) that we are we had to pose for a few more pictures! You see, these ladies moved away when I was in the 7th grade. The girl in the middle was my very best friend, and her little sister was only like 6 (baby Catherine) and her mom was like my second mom. We have missed them!
Sisters.
I love having a reason to get dressed up!
What I Wore: Dress: Dress Barn // Necklace: Kohls (LC) // Shoes: old

Happy Wedding Season & Happy Friday!!

Fashion Friday: Pink House Cafe

Last Sunday, Joel surprised me by suggesting we go to one of my favorite little cafes, "The Pink House Cafe" to celebrate my teaching position moving to full time for next year. It was a beautiful spring day.
The inside is decorated very cute with old pictures and paintings. It's the perfect place to go for coffee and dessert.
I had a pink lemonade and chicken curry salad with fruit and a delicious slice of olive bread.
I've been trying to make an effort lately to make outfits from items of clothing that I've owned for a while but don't wear very often, so everything I'm wearing is old, aside from the wallet I just bought from Charming Charlie. I actually have had the heels since my senior year in high school!
Happy Friday everyone!

Fashion Friday

My goodness, we have had some beautiful weather this week!
We had Monday off from school for President's Day so I took advantage of the free time and bit the bullet and got a walk in appointment at the salon down the street from me. I couldn't handle the mullet anymore! I don't know if I will ever grow my hair long again because I HATE the transition stage. I didn't color it because I wanted to go to my dear friend who usually does my hair for color. It feels so good to have short hair again!
What I wore: Sweater: Target // Leggings: Forever21 // Boots: Nine West (old)
 Happy Friday!

Football Fashion Friday

Last weekend a family member gave my mom & I free tickets to go to the Beaver game! My Dad has season tickets and my brother is currently a student at OSU so we all went together. Love this picture of me and my youngest brother in front of the MU. He is getting his degree in Political Science and has just finished up helping campaign for a candidate for the election.
My mom & my brother. You can see Gill Colosseum in the background.
My mom & I had seats in the end zone. It was a cold day but there were beautiful bouts of sunshine off and on. This picture was taken right before we scored a touchdown.

Love all that orange and black!
The end of the game. Well, we lost. Seems to be happening a lot for us this season. Just not our year. But we stayed til the end to support our team. We're Beaver believers no matter what!
My Dad has a special pass that gets us in to watch the Radio interview with Mike Riley after every game.
Sorry it's blurry, I didn't want to use my flash! I know we're going through a rough patch with the team this year but I have always liked Mike Riley. I am glad he is our coach!
My family + some family friends.
 Reser Stadium!
What I wore: Hat: Beaver Store (Child Size!) // Sweater: Victoria Secret // Shoes: Nike // Mom's Shirt: Beaver Store

End of the night with my mamma. Even though we lost, we had a fun time visiting, and people watching and cheering on our team!
OOOOOOSSSSSSSSUUUUUUU Oregon State Fight Fight Fight!
Let's hope we win this weekend!
Go Beavers!

Fashion Friday

The weekend before Halloween, Joel & I had plans to go to a pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins and get apple cider and take cute pictures (my idea of course), but it ended up raining all weekend so we didn't go. I still wanted to have a reason to get dressed and get out of the house though, so Joel suggested we go get some things we needed at Bimart and then go get hot apple cider at a cute little coffee place in town. Well we ended up taking too long at Bimart and Joel had to go to his football meeting so we didn't get coffee...so I got dressed cute just to go to Bimart. Oh, and I went to Walmart later too because Bimart didn't have the movie I was looking for. Oh the life of a small town girl--getting dressed up to go to Walmart!
What I wore: sweater: Scarf: Kohls // Sweater: Target // Shirt: Old Navy (old) //
// Leggings: Old Navy // Boots: Target //

I am soooo glad it's Friday!
Have a great weekend everyone :)

Fashion Friday

Just an outfit I got to wear a couple of weekends ago. I really love this dress from Old Navy. I got it this last spring. The color is vibrant and the fit is flattering. The dress has short sleeves and it's no longer available but there is on the exact same color and shape with 3 quarter length sleeves in stores now.
What I'm Wearing: Dress: Old Navy (similar) // Sweater: Target // Shoes: Payless (old) // Necklace: Charming Charlie (old) // Lip-color: Burt's Bees Apricot Lip Shimmer

I am so glad it's Friday. My week days are so busy, the weekend brings much needed rest!
Happy Friday Everyone :)

Fashion Friday

What I wore: Top: American Eagle Outfitters (from outlets) // Jeans: old // Beads: Gifted
A couple of weekends ago, we went to visit with my husbands family. My sister-in-law (who gave me these lovely beads for my birthday) and I went out to see the movie "If I Stay". We both cried not only during the movie but also during the preview of other movies. It was nice to be out with someone who's not giving me a a funny look or making fun of me for crying! "If I Stay" was a pretty good movie. I have to say it is one of the better dramatic love stories, and it was set in Portland, Oregon so of course I gotta love it!
These colors make feel like I'm channeling my inner Tinkerbell! I don't wear green very often, but the High School I am coaching at now has green & black for their colors so I am trying to work Green into my wardrobe more :)

Tonight I'm going to be a football widow so I suppose I will spend my Friday night with Zumba, and then clean my house to surprise my husband when he comes home--that's not to say it's surprising when I clean the house! I've had a busy week & he's been cooking dinner every night :)

Happy Friday!!!!!!
