The Band Perry at Spirit Mountain Casino

Joel surprised me with The Band Perry Tickets for Valentines Day this year.

 So last Friday, after school, I got dressed up and off we went to Spirit Mountain Casino.

Their lights were super cool! It was such a fun show! Joel & I have been digging The Band Perry since we first saw them at the Oregon Jamboree about 7 or so years ago!

 We were pretty much at the very back, but it was a pretty small venue, so it wasn't bad at all!

We got down to "Fat Bottom Girls" and "Live Forever" as well as some other favorites, and the ladies behind us were a hoot!

 And excuse to get dressed up! I've been dying to wear this beaded fringe necklace with my fringe booties!

Rogue Farms Summer Concert Series

This summer, Rogue Ales & Spirits Farms is putting on free concert on Sundays!

Lucky for us, The Rogue Farms is super close to where we live. Last Sunday we went for a drive to check it out. We have lived close for so long now, and yet this is the first time we had been to check it out!

The lady in front of us in line for food & drinks was wearing socks with her flip flops, like a true Oregonian, so naturally I took a picture.

We found a spot in the shade and sat down to relax and enjoy some music.
Joel got the Hazelnut Brown Nectar. It was so good! It was sweet and desert like.
I got the mead which was excellent. Very light and fruity. I also tried a cider which is always good.
We shared a chicken wrap with jalepeno slaw, which was delicious!

Beautiful Oregon weather and countryside, great music, and great food & drink!
It was a delightful afternoon!

Birthday Celebration 1

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend. Mine was full of more birthday celebration, family visits and a wedding. I got to celebrate my birthday a lot this year! The celebration started the weekend before. I think we should all just have "birth-week" instead of birthday ;) Let's jump back to the weekend before my birthday...

 

I finally got my hair done! I still can't decide if I want to grow it out or not, so I just got it trimmed and I went with a more natural hair color (I haven't had it colored since July!).

  I had family camping real close to my parent's house so we went out to visit them. We had a lovely view of the Santiam river from the campground.

I love being outside in the Oregon country! Even if its a little over cast.

  There was a group of old-timers camping from the Newport Elks Lodge. They were doing some pretty good Karaoke, so when my parents heard their song they had to dance :)

 Sitting around a campfire in the beautiful Oregon nature with friends and family is my most favorite thing in the world.

My sweet cousin surprised me with a birthday cake!

Had so much fun visiting with April! She even got the old-timers to sing me happy birthday! Then they invited me over and made me request a song. I requested "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. They sang it beautifully. One guy told me I didn't look a day over 22 ;) haha

Home Decor

 Over the summer, my mom & I went to the Two Sister's Treasures Sale just outside of my hometown. We love going to antique sales like this. It's fun to see how they state everything and to find fun items for the home.

 We both fell in love with this hutch. It is so gorgeous. We love the mirror on the back and especially the little shelves on either side. My mom has vintage pink crystal lamps that were passed down to her from her Grandma that we thought would have looked perfect on the shelves. Unfortunately it was a little spendy--not an unreasonable price, just out of our prices ranges! 

 I ended up going home with the two little mirrors and the mirrored tray in this picture. I loved the little lipstick holder too, but unfortunately, none of my lipsticks are round.

 Here's how I styled my finds!

 I placed the mirrored tray on my nightstand along with a couple of pictures of me and my handsome husband.

I added the two small mirrors to the mirrors I already had hanging. I love mirrors, but I think my husband is getting tired of them, haha. Every time I bring one home, he says "another mirror?". Hopefully he just doesn't notice these two. ;)

Country Excursion

Sorry for the lack of posts last week, I got a little busy!

One of those busy days I was visiting my Mom & Sister In Law and we went to a very cool barn sale. A girl I went to high school with and her friend have a business called "Rustic Frills" and they collect rustic antiques and refurbish furniture and then they have a big sale once a year. It's a pretty big deal and this is the first time I have gone. It was so cool! Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I had to use my phone & the quality is not great, but I tried to get some pictures for you!

 I love this door.

 This little area was set up for eating cupcakes. There was a bakery there selling cupcakes and their whole set up was adorable. I wish I had taken a picture of the counter where they were selling the cupcakes but it was crowded and the cupcake stand was pretty popular :)
